Word from the President
The unknown plague
It is an accepted fact that in Canada more than half the population suffers from food intolerance. Paradoxically an unknown plague when you consider that scientists, doctors, nutritionists etc.in fact all health professionals are finally unanimous and encourage a healthy balanced diet composed essentially of fruit, vegetables and fibers while respecting the input of other nutrients, antioxidants and fatty acids….No one puts into question the essential role of nutrition, but these recommendations as noble as they may be often neglect the individual aspect which manifests itself through our immune and the digestive capacities each one of us displays towards certain food.
Thus, the somewhat provocative but true slogan chosen by the Laboratory “Eating healthy can make you ill”, illustrates very well on a personal level the importance of our immune capacities with certain foods even considered healthy food. This sudden awareness quickly incited me to check out the problems with allergies and food intolerance which are on an ever increasing scale, their relationship to the immune system and the possibility of tracking them down individually. This is how the Scientific Laboratory for Food Intolerance came into being at the beginning of 2007 and I have the honor of holding its presidency.
The Scientific Laboratory for Food Intolerance
The Scientific Laboratory for Food Intolerance is unique since it is the only one in Canada which offers a test as comprehensive as ImuPro 300, which can track down more than 270 types of food, additives and/or preservatives.
The Laboratory works in close cooperation with Evomed Medezinservice Gmbh, a corporation with world wide status and a head office located in Darmstadt, Germany. The Laboratory offers to Canada medical tests which are innovative and allow for the identification of agents responsible for many chronic pathologies. These diagnostic tests have allowed in partnership with other companies the possibility to improve on many new therapeutic approaches.
In 2007, more than 100,000 patients have used the Imupro 300 test and for the most part results have been very positive. This is very reassuring since it is admitted that in North America more than 50% of the population suffers from food intolerance, often without being aware of it. Furthermore we believe this statistic to be well below the norm especially in view of the fact that those who suffer from such food intolerance are not aware of them ( since we have started testing patients in Montreal not one has shown negative results)
This has become a serious concern as Scientists now realize that there is a definite link between Type III food allergies (Intolerance) and many illnesses such as obesity, chronic fatigue, attention deficit disorders (ADH/D) skin diseases etc…
The tests proposed by the Scientific Laboratory for Food Intolerance gives explanations and offers solutions which are often lacking in many other forms of analyses which remain inefficient and diagnostically uncertain.
Do you suffer from persistent gastro-intestinal disorders (flatuence, constipation, irritable bowel syndrome), long-term skin irritations (itching, eczema, psoriasis, neuro-dermatis), chronic fatigue syndrome or even obesity? The cause of these types of illnesses and conditions are sometimes unclear and analyses and treatments that are conducted often do not produce significant or long lasting results.
I therefore invite you to discover the tests Imupro 100, 200 & 300 as proposed by the Laboratory. They may be the key to your wee being.
